Location - West London - Office based 2 days a week and 3 days from home.
Package - GBP32k - GBP42k including bonus
Candidate - Estimation, quote, design, diagram interpretation, advise, office experience or practical experience ideally with industry qualifications such as domestic plumbing, heating and ventilation. Manufacturer training on heat pump, UFH and solar thermal design would be an advantage.
The Role
Leading national provider of renewable heating systems seeks an office based Design Engineer to run heating project processes from technical advice to quoting, designing, estimating and specifying. You will be engaging with the top industry manufacturers, selecting and specifying the most appropriate equipment with a focus on Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps, Underfloor Heating and Solar Thermal Heating Systems for domestic heating residential projects, both new build and social housing retro-fits.
Experience Required
Due to the nature of the role you must have a successful background of estimating, designing and quoting residential domestic projects involving plumbing, heating, heat pumps, underfloor heating or solar thermal. It will be ideal if you can interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, perform thermal load calculations and if you are up to date on current industry water regulations. The role is predominantly office based project interfacing with end clients and the sales teams but there may be some survey's or site visits required. Therefore, basic IT skills and good communication and team working skills are essential.

The Package
Initial indications by the client are a base package range for the Design Engineer of between GBP32,000 and GBP42,000 including bonus although there may be some further flexibility depending on your experience and suitability for the position.
