Fire Safety Category Manager - Operations Hours: 36 Hours per week Location: Colliers Way, Old Park, Telford (agile working arrangements) Salary: GBP40,292 per annum

The Role

Take ownership of the delivery of operational and planned fire safety objectives including, but not limited to:

Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) and identified actions
Active fire safety system service and maintenance
Passive fire safety works,
Routine building inspections, including fire doors,
Planned programme improvement and installation work,
Responsible Persons alarm response management,

Ensure that all fire safety operational and planned works are carried out and completed to the highest standard as per statutory/non-statutory legislation, building regulations, ACOPs, guidance and contract documents, in line with the Group's compliance performance. The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are;

Assessments, inspections and actions completed on time;
High standards of quality
Excellent customer satisfaction.

Provide a technical support service to the Group for building and fire safety matters.

Provide detailed information on the performance of fire safety operational and planned objectives, including KPIs for compliance and asset management reporting.

Provide technical advice and support for all fire safety matters across the Group.

What you will need:

Studying for or possessing a higher qualification/degree in building construction/property asset management/facilities management.

Experience in procurement, contract management and/or property, compliance management and delivering building safety management/planned works.

Practical knowledge of statutory/non-statutory legislation, standards and best practices in building/fire safety and general health and safety management. Knowledge of fire safety throughout a building's life, from construction, occupation and vacation.
