Position Description:
The Treasury Project Analyst reports to the Treasury Project Manager and is responsible for executing Treasury global/regional/local and cross functional projects impacting key Treasury functions. Focused on delivering commonisation and automation of processes, innovation and efficiencies within Treasury Operations, primarily payments and collections on behalf of and centralisation of location processes to THE Central team.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Deliver Treasury Operations projects, ensuring timely delivery of objectives and effective and efficient launches
1. Drive common processes across Operations
* Deliver key milestones in the migration to a new Virtual Account Management platform, creating efficiencies enabled by transferring workload to low-cost service centres
* Launch common Treasury Operations processes including common systems, operating models, policies, controls, etc.
* Automate and integrate source system to EFT system delivery of payments and collections via host-to-host connectivity and internal software solutions
1. Maintain high standards of process design to meet Treasury Quality Assurance and internal control measures
1. Work closely with cross-functional teams and diverse groups of employees and external partners to deliver against project objectives in line with plan
1. Understand what the fair treatment of customers means and aware of how this should be achieved
1. In line with the Controls Framework:
* Carry out duties in line with the requirements set out in the Compliance Manual
* Ensure the fair treatment of customers
* Execute responsibilities in line with policies and procedures and defined processes
Skills Required:
UK & EU Payments and collections expertise, MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Project Management, Problem solving, Clear communication at all levels
Skills Preferred:
Application of UK FPS/BACs/CHAPS, Direct Debits, SEPA, SCTs, SDDs, Virtual Bank Accounts, XML editor, OFAC, Pay by Bank, Treasury/EFT banking platforms
Experience Required:
Experience in UK/European Treasury operations in corporate or banking sector, payment and collection file processing, Direct Debit/SEPA deployment, new process set up and launch
Experience Preferred:
Technical banking expertise, complex project launches, pay by bank set up, file transmissions via API/H2H connectivity (SFTP/PGP encryption), ISO20022, POBO/COBO, IHB, controls (SOx), desk procedures, KYC, bank account opening
Education Required:
Qualified by experience
Education Preferred:
Ideally Degree or Accounting/Treasury qualification, Project management certification
