As we expand our digital inclusion offer across SYHA, we’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Digital Support Worker to join the Digi Friends service. Working at the heart of our new device loan scheme, the Digital Support Worker will be a friendly, organised person who is confident with technology and loves to help others achieve their goals.
Job Description
- Salary Scale £20,601 - £23,696 (pro rata)
- Working hours 16-22 (negotiable) based in our office at Rockingham Court, Sheffield

More about the role:
You’ll be at the heart of our digital inclusion offer, connecting with customers, colleagues and volunteers through our peer-to-peer digital inclusion service, Digi Friends. Coordinating the management of devices as part of our device loan scheme, you’ll deliver high quality support to help customers grow in confidence and skills in line with IT security and GDPR.
- Offer high quality, personalised support to customers to grow customers’ digital skills and confidence.
- Provide basic technical support and guidance, explaining procedures to customers in a clear (non-technical) way and quickly identifying solutions to issues.
- Manage the stock of devices, taking responsibility for coordinating delivery, inspections and repairs as required and ensuring that devices are wiped at the end of the loan period.

- Passionate about peer-led and strengths-based approaches, or with a genuine willingness to develop your skills and knowledge of these.
