HGV2 Multi Drop Driver - West Thurrock

Manpower UK are now recruiting for a family run wholesaler based in Thurrock that is looking for a friendly and reliable Class 2 Driver to join their growing team on a permanent basis. To be a Class 2 Multi Drop Driver for our client, first and foremost, an instinctive customer service manner coupled with a friendly attitude are the key attributes above all else. They can teach the rest. Drivers will be expected to familiarize themselves with their set routes and customers over time as well as in turn, build a rapport with clientele and always be 'that friendly delivery driver' who goes above and beyond at each delivery.
This is a Monday to Friday role (No weekends) with flexible starting times between 04:00/06:00 with average routes starting at 05:00 and finishing at around 15:00 with OT hours available as and when the volume of work dictates.
You will be taken care of, our client will always send an experienced driver out with you for the first week or so whilst you familiarize yourself with the route. Nobody is thrown into the deep end.
You will be operating a temperature controlled HGV ranging between 12 - 18T, at each drop, you will need to off load goods by hand, payload is light and easily bearable on the body. Vehicles will be preloaded in the morning 95% of the time.
Delivery coverage includes Central London as well as the rest of The South East and the occasional run to The Midlands. Drop number varies upon distance but all routes are scheduled between 8-9 hours.
This position is paying GBP33.000 per annum as standard with additional OT available at an enhanced rate as and when duty occurs.
To be eligible for this role, you must permit to the following:
Clean HGV2 Licence holder
Over 21 years of age due to insurance purposes
1-2 years HGV2 driving experience
Clean driving licence This role would perfectly suit a HGV2 Driver living locally in Thurrock who is happy with starting early, turning up at each drop with a smile, off-loading light goods by hand and getting home in time for the family.
