The role sits within the Central Support team, providing 1st Class support to the Defence and Government business units (BUs).
The team comprises of Sales Admin (primarily responsible for the data entry of customer orders), Sales Support (enabling the sales activities of the BUs) and Purchasing (raising and management of supplier purchase orders). You will need to be an excellent communicator who can liaise clearly and effectively within the department and with the wider teams.
In addition to the core functions outlined below, as a team lead you will also be expected to fulfil the following:
Team Lead:
* Day-to-day management of Sales Support Administrators
* Overall ownership of the Sales Support Team Inbox
* Working with key vendors to understand road maps and manage relationship
* Working with account managers to understand stock requirements and run rates
* Driving and motivating the Team to ensure customer expectations and SLAs are met
* Weekly reporting to the CSM
The Sales Support function is diverse. The successful candidate can expect to fulfil a range of duties of the following core Customer Support functions:
* Providing proactive customer service to end customers and salespeople, ensuring timely advice on deliveries, queries and quotations.
* Assisting salespeople in managing the sales order process from quote generation through to order completion ensuring customer SLAs are met. This involves: obtaining pricing from suppliers; gaining customer acceptance and guidance with procurement process; sales order preparation; managing internal & external systems for customer orders; management of supply chain including stock availability; and coordinating production and shipping with CI factory.
* Working with salespeople to ensure up to date customer records are maintained.
* Liaising with vendors to achieve competitive pricing and confirmation of lead times in support of bidding/quoting for new business.
* Any other tasks deemed appropriate by CSM

Experience
Essential
* Attained grades A - C in GCSE Math and English
* High level of organisational skills
* Possess the ability to prioritise workload
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Competent in Microsoft Office suite
Desirable
* SAP Knowledge
* Identifying and establishing new business opportunities
* Experience in leading a team
* Experience in a similar sales support role with an understanding of a typical sales order cycle
