Installation Groundworks Engineer
UK External Works Ltd manufactures and installs street furniture and associated groundworks. We undertake a wide variety of jobs and this creates a non repetitive challenging job role where we all need to work as a team and be flexible.
Due to continued success and increased sales we require several installers ranging from apprentices to experienced installation engineer managers.
About the Installation Groundworks Engineer Role:
• Site surveys and site meetings.
• Preparation and assembly at the workshop prior to installation.
• Liaising on site and overseeing customer projects to the highest standards.
• Promoting safe working practices and a culture of team work. Overseeing sub-contractors. Groundworks.
• Ground preparation for concrete bases, foundations, ground grids and similar ground finishes.
• Operating machinery associated with ground works, typically excavators, dumpers, breakers, power saws, grinders, drills, and compactors. The use of site levels and measuring equipment including ground utility detection. Training will be available to the right candidates. Interesting and varied work.
• Building, installing, maintaining, and repairing all types of Street Furniture including Shelters, canopies, bollards, traffic calming, heat applied road markings, fencing, gates, railings, barriers and height restrictors are all within the scope of works.
Requirements for the Installation Groundworks Engineer:
Physically fit, positive attitude, willingness to learn and a sense of humour are great attributes that we welcome.
Traveling the country and overnight stays are very much part of the job.
Self-employed sub-contractors are also considered.
CSCS, NPORS plant, SMSTS, Streetworks are all desired quailifications but we are prepared to invest in the right people
