Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Colchester
Salary: GBP23,000 - GBP28,000 per annum
*Plus paid sleep-in rate* (reaching an earning potential of up to GBP32,000 per annum)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Now more than ever it is crucial that vulnerable children receive dedicated, high-quality care & support. I am working with an established provider of Residential Childcare, who provide outstanding care to children & young people with learning difficulties and mental health. Specialising in working with those who have suffered Trauma & Abuse from a young age, this provider prides itself on having created a warm and homely environment for those they support.

Requirements & Skills
* To be able to demonstrate skills of running a shift smoothly to ensure that the needs of the young people are met and that they have been actively engaged
* To have experience in good monitoring and observation and able to provide accurate reports on the day-to-day activities of the young people
* To attend all relevant meeting such as statutory reviews, planning meetings, PEP meetings, child protection meetings
* To have the knowledge and ability to analyse the risks of harm or categories of abuse and respond appropriately to situations to ensure the safety and protection of the young people at all times
* To have demonstrable experience of working with young people with EB and other complex needs/challenging behaviours
Minimum Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Previous experience working in a Children & Young Persons setting
* Full driving license with access to own transport
