Salary GBP35,000 - GBP37,500 per annum dependent on experience

Job description:
The Production Team Leader reports directly to the Production Manager and proactively manages all Mill Operations whilst on shift, Inclusive of all H&S responsibilities and communication to other departments in formal/informal manner , Holds daily Tier accountability reviews to establish actions. Responsible for delivering the production plan on time, in full and to the correct costs, to the targeted efficiency , whilst maintaining high Quality of Product. Responsible for the running of the shift in a safe and legal manner, to the correct quality standards and UFAS requirements
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Responsible for all site activities while on shift
2. Complete Customer complaint investigations
3. Deliver the production plan to the required time line
4. Make sure that the shift is manned up to the required levels, controlling/managing planned and unplanned absence updating workday system
5. Complete back to work interviews in a timely manner to the correct standard
6. Manage their teams working hours and monitor them in line with their annualised hour requirements, so they come into line
7. Complete accident investigations when required and input into Intergrum in a timely manner
8. To ensure that the machines and systems placed under their control are run to optimise performance
9. Utilise the DSL system to drive improvements in efficiency
10. Communicate to all departments formal and informal at the required times
11. Manager the weekly H&S inspections in line with the confirmed plan
12. To ensure that the mill is maintained to an acceptable standard of Hygiene throughout the shift
13. Maintain site processes/standards in line with the UFAS code of practice
14. Manage the daily Tier 1 accountability review in line with the process defined and confirm actions to be completed in a timely manner. Keep records/reports up to date. Issue weekly report from the process
15. Identify and Manage teams training and development needs and maintain training record/matrix
16. Ensure their shift is maintained to high level of H&S, and any issues are communicated in a timely manner and actions completed
17. Ensure Environmental management system is followed and adhered to complying with BS EN ISO 14001/50001
18. Lead and manage 5S process and Lean improvements
19. Hold/manage informal counselling and first level disciplinary process reviews

3/ Management of continuous improvement activities driving forward with Teams.
4/ Attendance management - Return to work interviews, holidays, resource planning.
