Salary: GBP(phone number removed) per annum

Shift pattern is as follows:
Week 1 & 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 06:00-18:00
Week 2 & 4: Wednesday, Thursday - 06:00-18:00
Week 5 & 6 : Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 18:00-06:00
Week 7 & 8: Wednesday, Thursday - 18:00-06:00

The main purpose of their Shift Manager role is to maintain safety, quality and environmental standards on shift. To maximise production efficiencies, waste control and minimise cost throughout the organisation through leadership, motivation and support of production staff.
The Key responsibilities include
GENERAL
To ensure environmental, health and safety working practices are followed at all times.
To take control and perform Fire Marshall duties when needed.
To ensure that quality standards are met and remedial action taken where necessary.
To take control of the site and all personnel outside office hours.
To support the Management team and colleagues to achieve high motivation and productivity through consistent positive leadership.
To complete all Internal Audits and Risk Assessments as requested with regards to all Quality and EHS standards.
PRODUCTION RESULTS
To ensure efficiency (TRS) and spoilage (MOD) targets are met.
To ensure efficient material usage in order to minimise costs.
To manage production resources to meet the requirements of the Plan, including the effective planning of changeovers and maintenance days.
To mobilise and deploy production and other staff in the event of breakdowns, quality issues and other emergencies, including hands-on attendance to breakdowns where necessary.
To maintain high levels of housekeeping
MANAGEMENT OF TEAM
To manage the performance and development of production staff, including identifying training needs, coaching and promoting teamwork. Undertake and manage the internal training of employees.
To ensure all relevant records are maintained, to provide detailed shift reports and to perform effective shift handovers.
To maintain all relevant tracking systems including employee holidays, cover, absence and skills matrix.
To manage team performance issues including appraisal, development, disciplinary and grievance.
CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT
To develop, in conjunction with others, working methods and systems to continuously improve safety, product quality, efficiency and waste.
To participate in and support the Management team and colleagues in Continuous Improvements projects.
