Production Planner
Hours, Mon - Friday
Rochdale
Salary, GBP28,000 - GBP33,000pa.
A unique opportunity for an experience Production Planner located in the Rochdale area. This opportunity is with a well-established manufacturing company. As a Production Planner you will be responsible for the forecasting and stock management of products and suppliers, whilst working within the company budgets and stock targets.
Role and responsibilities
•Management of stock, forecasting whilst managing a portfolio of products and suppliers
•Maintain stock levels
•Place and expedite PO to ensure OTIF delivery
•Place all stock orders with suppliers
•Manage and monitor the movement of stock between suppliers and ensure all stock is fully stocked at all times
•Update all PO dates to ensure they are accurate on the ERP system
•Update all USD sheets regularly to forecast future shipments
•Follow up any relevant sampling/testing requirements from suppliers as required
•Ensure all product information and specifications are set up and agreed with relevant suppliers
•Ensure all product costs are accurate on the system
•Import duty/freight calculations
•Contact logistics companies for airfreight & LCL shipments obtaining the relevant documentations
•Raising debit notes, creating purchase orders
•Liaising with worldwide offices to support day to day activities
•Liaise with other departments on product specifications, testing requirements
•Raise and resolve customer issues
•Report stock that are low/out of stock
Skills and Experiences
•Experience of working within a Production Planner role (3+ years)
•Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
•Ability to work under pressure
•Good communication
•Previous experience with Mertex system - beneficial
