We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join a pioneer organisation focusing on solid state battery technology, enabling solutions for applications such as Industrial IoT, MedTech, EV and Consumer Electronics. The successful candidate will provide support to the technical and customer facing teams to ensure customer specifications are understood and optimum solutions are provided.
The Senior Electronics Design Engineer will:
Maintain a broad understanding of the 'state-of-the-art' of associated technology.
Advise the product architects in understanding and defining battery specification through interpretation of the customer requirements.
Communicate with customers to capture their requirements and provide pre- and post-sales technical support.
Create user-guides and provide technical content for application notes.
Support Stereax products through to Launch / R&D design freeze.
Take the initiative in proposing and implementing solutions for areas for improvement in the Company's operations.
Maintaining ISO 9001 standards.
Adhere to good laboratory practice and implementation of risk assessments and COSHH where appropriate. The Senior Electronics Design Engineer will have:
A BSc, BEng or equivalent in Electronics engineering.
Experience with designing ultra-low power devices and designing small processor-based systems
Radio-linked IoT (BLE & LoRa)
Experience in designing rechargeable battery-powered devices
Experience in inductive power transfer power supply design
CAD design package experience for PCB layout
Experience in mechanical design for electronic assemblies
CAD 3D drawing package
Good attention to detail, clear communication skills, self-motivated and proactive.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
