If so, Expleo have an opportunity for you! One of the world's largest Automotive Manufacturer's is currently recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join their Facilities team, based in Sunderland. You will be working with a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Building Service's Engineers on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical building services engineering work within their Manufacturing plant including legislation compliance, full project management and refurbishment planning.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer include:

* Responsible for all mechanical building services, providing refurbishment strategies, obsolescence management, efficiency improvements, technical support to maintenance and legal compliance
* Engineering evaluation on plant loading for compressed air, LPHW, gas, HVAC and water systems
* Working closely with other departments to ensure all new and refurbishment projects are fit for purpose, comply with engineering directives and standards, and meet business requirements
* Supporting mandatory compliance requirements
* Budget management
* Coordinate with contractors to successfully implement projects within a production based environment
* Project management and delivery, commissioning and ongoing maintenance
* Implement innovative energy reduction projects

Experience and Qualifications required for the Mechanical Engineer position:

* Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline or relevant experience
* Knowledge of heating and ventilation, Building Management Systems and site utility infrastructure
* Ideally experienced within the Industrial sector, although other industries will be considered
* Project management and specification development experience
* Experience in the use of design software and CAD
* Sound EHS knowledge with industry recognised certification
* Chartered member of an industry body is preferred although not essential
