Our client is seeking an experienced Trust and Fundraising Manager 28 hours a week

PURPOSE OF THE POST:

Working closely with the Chief Executive and Directorate and Management colleagues, you will manage, deliver, and develop a successful grant funding pipeline and applications and supporter relations management process. The purpose is to achieve financial targets for identified priorities, aligned with the charity's strategic plan. You will also play a key role in leading our charity's development activity regarding establishment of community and individual fundraising as agreed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant Fundraising plan.

1. Develop and agree a grant fundraising plan with measurable targets and outcomes.

2. Engage with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to identify projects and priorities for funding, and in consultation with the Chief Executive develop them into compelling projects for funders

3. Establish and maintain an agreed monitoring and reporting framework for grant funding.

4. Chair a monthly funding and fundraising meeting involving the Directorate and management and service colleagues as appropriate.

Grants Pipeline

1. Research thoroughly the criteria of grant making trusts to ensure that a comprehensive understanding of prospects exists and is built into the agree fundraising plan and pipeline.

2. Lead the management, development, and maintenance of the grant-making pipeline to identify opportunities for funding from charitable trusts and other non-statutory funders and submit regular bids to these bodies as part of a rolling programme.

3. Lead the charity's research and client/stakeholder engagement in relation to prospective grant applications.

4. Research, prepare and submit, effective, high quality funding applications and proposals supported by the Chief Executive and colleagues as appropriate.

5. Complete monitoring and report requirements, thanking donors and developing strong donor relations and effective stewardship

6. Working with the finance team, monitor fundraising financial performance and prepare regular reports to the finance committee, management meetings and others as appropriate.

Development of Community and individual giving.

1. Work with colleagues to create a plan for establishing local community giving including the establishment and nurturing of relationships with schools and groups such as Rotaries, Lions and Women Institutes.

2. Support the development of the charity's legacy fundraising.

3. Create and support the on-going development of community fundraising volunteer ambassadors/groups.

4. Working closely with colleagues, develop and agree a calendar of activity/events (e.g., older people's day; volunteers' week) and deliver associated fundraising/promotional opportunities.

Collaboration.

1. Work closely with the Chief Executive on collaborative grant opportunities with external partners as agreed.

2. Work with partners, funders, and statutory bodies to promote and develop the work of the charity

3. Work with the People and Development Team to recruit and manage community fundraising volunteers to support community activity as agreed.

Other.

1. To work within the policies, procedures and quality frameworks adopted bythe charity with particular attention to equal opportunities, data protection/confidentiality, safeguarding and health and safety requirements.

2. To undertake relevant training as required by the organisation and agreed with your line manager.

3. To be an Ambassador for the Charity, positively always promoting the organisation and its work.

4. To undertake other such responsibilities and duties as may be reasonably required by your line manager within the level and grading of the post and to work flexibly as required.
