Description: Benchmark is looking to recruit a full time Estimator - Procurement Officer to join our Operations team, to provide an efficient and quality focused service

Job Purpose: Primary ongoing responsibility for the estimation and procurement of raw materials and finished goods to ensure key projects are successfully costed and delivered.

Main Tasks: Estimating, Procurement, Project delivery, Project reporting, Project finalisation and Budget management.

Key Relationships:

Suppliers, Clients, Account Directors, Business Directors, Operations Department, Production Department, Sales teams, Administration and Design.

Role Specification:

* To provide accurate and timely take-off of technical drawings to generate Bill of Materials

* To conduct thorough research on raw materials, finished goods & manufacturing systems to enable best sourcing / pricing.

* To ensure the current cost database is maintained.

* Liaising with suppliers regarding all aspects of the projects and ensure Clients' expectations are met.

* Responsible for the flow of information of the projects to all stakeholders.

* Produce and monitor accurate and clear project data.

* Maximising Client business opportunities within projects.

* To be involved in the Commercial Adjudication reviews.

* Attend and organise meetings with all relevant stakeholders throughout the duration of the allocated projects.

* Plan, commence, execute, supervise all elements of projects allocated.

* To monitor the project results and report any failings to all stakeholders in a timely fashion.

* Attend all relevant production meetings in accordance with the project's needs.

* To manage and disperse to all stakeholders the clients' inquiries and requests.

* Guardianship of the projects margin and report any erosions and the reasons.

* Offering direction and instruction on all matters concerning appointed projects.

* Contributing to the business development of the company.

* To suggest any strategies that may make the projects' goal achievable

* Support of teammates and colleagues.

PERSON SPECIFICATION.

* Demonstrable experience in the industry.

* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

* General understanding of the manufacturing process and components used
