London (5 days in the office)

A busy, growing advertising and design agency are looking for a Web Designer/Front-End Developer to support their growing digital client portfolio.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, engaged individual, with a genuine passion for digital development in all its forms, and a desire to demonstrate and expand their abilities across a broad client portfolio, with an enthusiastic approach to problem-solving. You will naturally have an excellent understanding of digital design principles, strong understanding of UX and UI, and the aptitude and ability to take complex digital projects from briefing, through to prototyping and build, then testing, refinement and final launch.

Responsibilities:

* Compilation of detailed website specifications, understanding complex requirements and suggestion of best practice solutions

* Design of websites varying in size and complexity, from simple 'brochure sites' through to complex listings and e-commerce platforms

* Communication of design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.

* Conceptualisation and creation graphics, animations and all other assets

* Presentation of initial design concepts and wireframes

* Coding proficiently using a variety of platforms and languages

* Working within different content management systems

* Implementing search engine optimisation (SEO) strategy

Skills and experience:

* Minimum of 2-3 years agency experience (or similar).

* Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills.

* Proficiency in a range of programming languages e.g. Python, Angular, HTML5 and CSS, PHP and JavaScript.

* A solid understanding of a range of content management systems.

* An excellent understanding of search engine optimization principles.

* An excellent understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.

* Exceptional visual design skills, with a comprehensive understanding of both UX and UI (and an understanding of difference between them)!

* Awareness of international web protocols and accessibility standards.

* An appetite to keep up to date with latest trends, and a desire to continually improve and expand skillsets.

* Excellent communication skills

* A relevant degree (Web Design and Development, Multimedia Design, Interactive Computing or Digital media) would be desirable, but not essential.
