Westminster, Central London - Hybrid Working pattern 1 day a week in the office for 1 week followed by 2 days the following week.

My client a reputable membership trade association based in the Westminster, Central London is currently looking for an Events Manager.

In this role, there is ample opportunity to progress and this is a stunning opportunity for someone who is career-minded and wants to work somewhere where hard work is rewarded with promotions and career advancement. The organisation has a strong team working ethos and will allow someone to have exposure to large flagship events with large bluechip sponsorship deals as well as working with some household names in terms of brands. The Events Manager will work towards growing and enhancing the Marketing & Events function by leading on certain allocated projects and supporting the Marketing & Events Director's role with several responsibilities, listed below:

Events responsibilities

Support the planning, coordination and execution of the association' main flagship events (Annual Conference in November, Innovation Conference in April and Gala dinner in July);

Updating and promoting the association's overall events offering and calendar and ensuring clash avoidance with the national industry calendar.

Support event delegates, speakers, trackers, GANTT, registrations, resources and venues - focused on joint and flagship events.

Produce and deliver events and information services, including weekly emails (Conference newsletters & Events email) and website updates, on time, to member expectations, through effective teamwork;

Lead on the events (3 per year minimum), securing buyers, setting up suppliers forms, website, executing the full process and supervision on the day;

Ensuring events' staff meetings and wash-ups, to enable pre-event coordination and lessons to be learnt and applied in future events.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:

Relevant experience in event production;

High level of organisational skills required to set up and organise meetings, events and campaigning initiatives;

The ability to liaise with senior industry stakeholders;

Good inter-personal and written communication skills;

The ability to work effectively in and across a small, collaborative team;

A good understanding of the event production's rush and needs;

The ability to represent the association at external events;

Excel and power point savvy;

Social media campaign and analytics experience desired;

Experience with Mailchimp and CRM systems is a plus;

Experience using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator is a plus.
