HR Data Engineer in City Of London
Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP53,000 (DOE) plus Superb Bonus & Benefits
Hybrid Working - Typically 2 days per week in the office

Through continued growth, the HR Data Engineer will be joining a specialist Data Engineering team within this hugely successful Financial Services giant. With the teams roadmap designed to take HR Data, Insights & Dashboards to the next level, your HR & Data skills will play an exciting part in enabling the team to achieve their goals.

The HR Data Engineer will be given good autonomy to support the development and implementation of the HR data architecture, governance and data solutions and is responsible for data management processes and automation, development of reports, dashboards and data models.

The HR Data Engineer will provide technical support, champion process improvement and automation, working with HR and the business to translate high level requirements into meaningful data solutions.

Preferred Skills, Aptitude & Experience:

A good understanding of HR policies and practices
Knowledge of data protection, information governance and associated requirements
A good understanding of IT architecture as well as HR processes and how they interact with other services (e.g. finance / procurement)
Experience of data architecture and integration processes and experience and knowledge of designing and implementing complex data structures
You'll need to have knowledge and practical application of data tools and analysis. Good Excel and Power BI skills are essential, whilst additional skills with Alteryx, R and/or Python are desirable, although can be learnt in the role
Agile and flexible, capable of dealing with ambiguity, and confront challenges and opportunities with speed, endurance and decisiveness
Ability to independently research, assess, interpret and validate data
Effective communicator across all levels including the non-HR community
Good GDPR awareness and sensitivity
The Role:

Building data solutions, including reports, dashboards and data models for advanced analytics, to provide accurate and relevant data to HR
Collecting and cleaning raw data, often from multiple sources; maintaining architectures such as databases; and developing data mining, modelling, and analytical processes
Providing accurate, reliable and relevant data from multiple sources, touch points and channels, to support people analytics
Helping to develop and maintain data quality and integrity measures and controls
Supporting the development and implementation of the people data strategy, models and applications, to establish a robust data foundation to enable data driven insights
Analysing and presenting data and reports to the appropriate area of expertise, identifying errors and advising on solutions. Identifying and working with the HR team to resolve data related issues.
Working with HR Systems and Operations, Finance, IT and Business teams
Making sure compliance and security of the data by taking responsibility for protecting the data -while providing information on potential risks and offering regulatory guidance
Applying deep understanding of data security to end-user data access
