Warehouse Assistant

We are a well-established international manufacturing and distribution business, who are now seeking an enthusiastic person to join our existing Warehouse team due to an increase in workload to start asap. You will have ideally worked within a similar role previously including warehouse, production or goods but we will also consider candidates who have qualifications within engineering looking for their first role after completing their studies.

We offer Mon to Fri 8.30 - 5 working hours (40 hour week), free parking and a pay rate between GBP10 -GBP12 per hour plus holiday pay depending on experience with a weekly payroll. Reporting into the Warehouse and Operations Manager and working within a small team, you will be an important part of the warehouse team, working alongside the production department.

Working as a Warehouse Assistant, the main duties will involve:
If you have a counterbalance fork lift license then unloading goods into the warehouse, if not then some manual unloading of goods
Checking good received against stock lists
Placing goods in correct storage areas in the warehouse
Picking products ready for dispatch
Packing up products accurately
Labelling goods ready for dispatch
Inspection and checking of goods
Some basic administration tasks

We require the suitable individual to be PC literate and have good communication and numeracy skills. This role requires someone to be physically fit and able to start asap. If you have counterbalance fork lift experience, this is an advantage but not essential. In return we can offer weekly pay, an asap start and Mon to Fri 40 hours per week with free parking
