About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Technician (Line Support) to join one of the world-leading manufacturers of mobile elevated work platforms based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes. The Quality Assurance Technician will provide quality control support to manufacturing areas, conduct inspections to control, monitor, and ensure build integrity, collect and process measurement data, develop and maintain quality control documentation and facilitate root cause analysis and preventative solutions to quality concerns affecting the production lines.

Main Tasks of the Role:

* Working in a medium-volume Manufacturing environment you will support the day-to-day production of all quality-related activities.

* Measurement, inspection, and diagnostics of component level and sub-assembly level engineered parts.

* Promoting a culture of No-Fault Forward.

* Determine the root cause of defects and action preventative improvement tasks to support stakeholder actions, including the utilisation of practical problem solving / 8D methods.

* Processing and reporting of non-conforming material back to suppliers, Containing any issues for Production.

* Controlling parts in Quarantine related to their production area.

* Giving judgment on issues from a quality aspect, within their production areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Experience in engineering / manufacturing practices; Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural fabrication / welding.

* Level 3 Engineering qualification, or 5 plus years' experience within engineering.

* Ability to use measuring equipment.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Computer literate - with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint also Access but not essential.

* Experience, knowledge of the assembly of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms

* ONC or equivalent qualification

* Ability to work within a team structure

* Good Organisation Skills.

* Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2008/ 2015)

* Experience in a production manufacturing system (SAP, Visual).

Working Hours & Salary:

Hours will be 08.00 - 16.30 Monday - Friday (with regular structured overtime).

* Guaranteed basic starting salary GBP13.28 x 40 hours plus guaranteed minimum GBP50 per week bonus - GBP30,222.40

* Level A - Overtime paid at a premium rate of GBP19.92 per hour (i.e. x 1.5).

* Level B - Overtime paid at a premium rate of GBP26.56 per hour (i.e. x 2.0).

* Plus, additional monthly pay bonuses/incentives aligned to business performance that equate to further payments of GBP400 to GBP450 per month on average (for reference only)
