We have an Assistant Manager vacancy with a well-established accountancy practice, with the opportunity to lead a varied client portfolio and would suit a qualified Senior looking for the first step into management. The successful candidate will become the regular point of contact with the clients and will assist in the development of junior team members.
You will have a broad range of accounts, tax and audit experience and will have the desire to further progress their career, within a progressive business environment. This firm will offer excellent benefits and flexible, hybrid working.
Reporting directly to a Partner, as Assistant Manager your responsibilities will include:
* Developing relationships with new and existing clients, becoming a regular point of contact for their needs
* Managing a varied client portfolio which includes a mix of companies, partnerships and sole traders
* Assisting with the training and development of AAT and ACCA trainees
* Managing accounts preparation for all types of entities
* Leading statutory accounts preparation, audit and review
* Management accounts preparation and review
* Supervising and review of Trainee Accountants' work
* Element of tax planning, compliance and advice
* Corporate finance work, such as forecasting and due diligence

* Be qualified ACA or ACCA with at least three years post qualified experience gained within a practice environment
* Have significant experience of the responsibilities listed above and able to carry out those tasks with the minimum of supervision
* Be an effective team member with the ability to work on own initiative when required
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good IT skills and familiarity with accounting software
