Salary 25,654- GBP31,500
Based in Pride Park, Derby
Hours - Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm with business requirements to be flexible for some weekend shifts and evening cover if needed.

GI Group are working in partnership with a very well known company based in Pride Park who are looking for a HR Advisor to support the head of HR and HR team.

Purpose of the role:
As a HR Advisor you will ensure proactive and effective management of employment relations and absence matters across the site, provide generalist advice and support to managers across the HR spectrum; assist with HR projects on an ad hoc basis.
Duties:
* To act as an Advisor to Managers on a range of operational Human Resource issues, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
* To provide a comprehensive, professional HR advice and support service to line managers across the service, across a range of employment relations issues
* To advise and support line managers in handling disciplinary cases
* To support managers in the resolution of grievances Absence Management
* To give advice and support to line managers on both short term and long-term absence, liaising with key stakeholders as appropriate
* To ensure robust systems and processes are in place to ensure comprehensive absence case history of an employee is available, including reason for absence and absence patterns
* To give regular progress updates to the Head of HR / Senior Management Team on individual absence cases
* To produce absence management activity reports and statistical data on a monthly basis
* To review the absence cases with a view to analysing and identifying trends
* To keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and human resources best practice
* To build and maintain relationships with clients (HR and/or line managers) to support them effectively with their key business and management issues Reporting
Personal Attributes:
* CIPD Qualification or working towards
* Strong HR Generalist background
* End to end experience in managing absence
* Experience of providing advice within HR Management team
