We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the position of Administrator at Whittlesey.
The Role
The Administration Clerk will be responsible for operating an efficient site back office.
Key role of the function:
The role will involve working in \a busy office environment with other staff, assisting in day to day office activities including placing orders, receipting goods and distribution. Additional responsibilities will include the upkeep of Health, Safety and Environmental paperwork, working closely with site Manager to ensure compliance are achieved.
The Candidate
- Plan, co-ordinate and manage all Office & Additional Despatch activities in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
- Assist site management in the implementation of H&S, Environmental, Quality aspects of the operation to meet and/or exceed legislative requirements and Company standards.
- Actively support the development and improvements in the Sustainability performance of sites.
- Assist management in generating information that needs to be reported to business as required, weekly/monthly
- Within Despatch & administration duties ensure the control of finished stocks, packaging, raw materials etc
- Ensure that Company Purchasing procedures are always followed.
- Liaise regularly with other parts of the business to ensure we maximise site performance. This to include commercial, supply chain, logistics etc
Education & Qualification
- We are looking for a flexible self starter, with good literacy, numeracy & computer skills
- Experience in Purchase Ledger, Despatch and Administration in a fast-moving building materials office environment would be ideal, but not essential
- The role requires a high level of contact with internal/external departments and key customers therefore the job holder needs to have excellent communication skills and be able to develop good working relationships
- The role requires effective resource management skills to ensure efficient operation of the office to meet targets.
