Academics are looking for 1:1 Teaching Assistants, the need for additional support is higher than ever! So we at Academics are eager to hear from those who have experience of working with children with additional needs, and have a passion to make a difference to a child's education.
A Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning / Early Years Educator or similar would be a bonus but isn't required. We want someone who has excellent behaviour management and varied techniques to ensure the engagement of the child and to help them to progress towards expected attainment levels.
Enhanced DBS on the update service would be beneficial, however we can help assist you in getting this if you don't have it already.
Ideal 1:1 Teaching Assistant will have experience with any of the following:
SEMH
EBSD and challenging behaviour,
ASD,
Learning difficulties (dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, global delay)
