The LSA role in a specialist provision for Children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges and Autism, aged 5-16, focus on their objectives and where they feel their place in the world is.
LSA role to begin September 2022, trial days taking place immediately through to July 2022. The role can begin immediately, if your circumstances allow! This role is all about qualifying and disqualifying elements of mental health, youth justice and special educational needs, for yourself. The role can also start in July.
There is no shame if this sector and industry is not the right direction for you, it's crucial to know early. You will be working with children who have been tragically let down by the adult world and have been through significant trauma.
This LSA role is based in small classes, it's a much personalised education and it has to be. Working 1:1 and in small groups with students who have been through significant traumas, focus on restorative practices. Restorative practices underpin everything that happens within this specialist SEMH School.
CAN you demonstrate the value of an education to a child? Can you help give them the skills that can able them to be less vulnerable and susceptible to being manipulated. Empathy drives connection, sympathy drives disconnection - no one wants your sympathy, your students need pragmatism and solutions in this LSA role.
Huge focus on Key and Personal skills, giving pupils skills, they can use to gain independence, aiming to ensure they do not enter the criminal justice system.

***Classes of 6, working 1:1 and focussed on core and vocational subjects
***Shadowing and Mirroring outstanding SEN professionals, including Clinical Psychologists and Therapists
***Specialist SEMH school for students with Complex Social Needs, 9-16 all from a wide range of backgrounds
***GBP78 per day PAYE, GBP390 per week before Tax and NI (No umbrella agencies), 08.15 to 16.15, term time only
