Defour Partnership is working with a fantastic Scottish Charity recruiting for a Trusts & Grants Fundraiser.
This is a 28 hour per week flexible contract with a salary of GBP24,286 (FTE GBP30,357p.a). Remote based.
Working alongside the Fundraising Manager and the Fundraising and Trusts Administrator, the Trusts and Grants Fundraiser will play a crucial part in making this vision and mission a reality for people in Scotland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is an experienced Trusts and Grants Fundraiser looking for flexibility in their role, possessing the research, analytical and creative writing skills to be successful in this role.
Main Purpose of Post:
Grants and Trusts Fundraiser to secure transformational income from charitable Grants, Trusts, Foundations and statutory bodies through compelling and persuasive applications, to sustain and grow the Charities service provision throughout Scotland.
The role will work closely with the Fundraising Manager and other senior managers.
Key responsibilities are to:
* Secure income predominantly from medium to large sized Grants, Trusts and statutory funders against agreed targets. .
* Research, prepare and submit bids to funders - including planning budgets
* Complete funding applications within tight deadlines to the highest standard
* Actively engage with charity staff, volunteers, families and Board members to develop case studies and compelling funding narratives for funding and social media purposes
* Support delivery of services to comply with funders' criteria
* Collect and analyse data from spreadsheets and databases for reporting purposes
* Produce reports for all funders within tight deadlines to the highest standard
* Liaise with funders to update as and when required
* Provide outcomes and statistics to funders when required
* Ensure databases are recording all relevant Monitoring and Evaluation information required by funders
* Develop a pipeline of new prospects for Grants and Trusts
* Proactively promote the charity to potential funders and represent the organisation confidently at external meetings
* Input into Fundraising and Project campaigns
* Undertake other fundraising duties as required
* Flexibility to adapt workload to meet the businesses needs
Skills & Experience Required:
* At least two years in a Grants and Trusts fundraising role.
* Demonstrable experience of writing successful fundraising bids and proposals.
* Demonstrable experience of managing multiple deadlines and projects / effective time management.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills including the ability to initiate, self-motivate and work to tight multiple deadlines
* An understanding of the motivations of trust funders and grant making bodies
* Skills in researching and laying out clear and concise applications.
* Ability to tell a compelling story which will prompt a positive response.
* Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data to report on project and organisational progress
* Ability to prepare a project budget and report on finances.
* Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to create, maintain and develop working relationships
* A team player who can equally work effectively and efficiently on their own.
