We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Service Manager for Medicine. This role will be for 6 months+ and is expected to be based mainly onsite.
This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at cGBP260 per day.
Key responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for all day-to-day operational and general management for Medicine Services;
Lead and demonstrate the ability to deliver against key performance targets;
Responsible for developing and maintaining performance management systems to ensure the effective and efficient use of all resources in order to achieve the organisation's objectives;
Ensure that the Strategic Plan and objectives, operational policies and strategic intentions are implemented or incorporated;
Potential for participation in the managerial operational (Bronze) on call rota;
Ensure the delivery of safe, effective and high quality clinical services within available resources, ensuring the delivery of the Annual Quality Framework;
Contribute to the management of safety and quality performance and the development and delivery of designated clinical service portfolios.
The ideal candidate will have:
Educated to degree level;
Managerial experience at Band 8a level as a minimum;
Credible and proven track record of managing operational services within an Acute setting and across Medicine Services;
Strong administrative skills.
