In the role of Management Accountant your duties will include:
Maintain the financial records of allocated organisations.
Advise executive officers on financial matters and prepare management reports and where appropriate attend relevant meetings.
Prepare year-end accounts and liaise with companies' external verifiers/auditors.
Assist the executive officers with the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
Support finance manager by providing cover for peaks in workload at year ends and annual leave.
Prepare timely and accurate periodic income and expenditure reports, balance sheets, variance reports (as required) for the relevant committees/sub-committees.
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
Maintain fixed asset register, including posting of depreciation journals and reconciliation to the trial balance.
Manage/supervise the stock taking procedure.
Complete intercompany reconciliations.
Process information from the Candidate Management System.
Credit control, including answering provider and candidate queries, ensuring timely collection of fees.
Monitor and adjust the allocation and apportionment of office and staff costs attributable to the respective user organisations.
Liaise with line managers regarding payroll, pensions, holiday entitlement and sick leave.
Undertake appropriate training and staff development activities in accordance with business needs.
To be successful in the role of Management Accountant you will need:
AAT/ACCA/CIMA Qualification
Excellent Excel skills
Strong communication skills
A positive work ethic are essential
Sage Line 50 experience
A full UK driving licence
Communicate effectively and constructively both verbally and in writing
Work to deadlines and prioritise work
Ability to multi-task
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Ability to work as part of a team and individually
Attention to detail
Minimum 1 year finance management experience
Previous experience operating as part of a senior management team
Experience of VAT and partial VAT exemption
Experience of working with CRM systems.
Ability to communicate in Welsh
This is a part time permanent role with a salary of GBP30,000 pro rata on offer for the right candidate. Hybrid working, 25 days holiday plus public holidays, sick pay and employee support scheme.
