Plant Operative
South Kirkby
12 hour shifts - 2 on 2 off - Rotating days and nights 6am-6pm/6pm-6am
GBP10.50 per hour
iRecruit are looking to recruit a high calibre individual as a Plant Operative, to continue aiding the rapid growth of the company and to help us achieve our vision to be recognized as the most trusted, innovative, and responsible business partner in the glass recycling market. Who is capable of handling a variety of tasks whilst demonstrating dedication and ambition to work towards achieving our company goals.
Reporting into the Site Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for and able to demonstrate the following:
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor the processing within all production areas and look to continuously improve the process flow and efficiency of the plant.
• Ensure all landings and machines are kept clean at all times, ensuring any areas that are causing spillage are reported and/or rectified as quickly and effectively as possible.
• Assist the Team Supervisor to achieve production targets by maximising efficiency and minimising all waste streams across all plant machines.
• Relieve other plant operative roles as required to cover break times and holiday cover.
• Make sure that any downtime issues are communicated to the Supervisor so that accurate records can be maintained at all times
• Play a leading role during any plant stoppages or planned outages.
• Report any plant defects or issues in the appropriate & timely manner.
The Candidate:
• A good knowledge of health/safety & Environmental practices
• Proven track record in continuous improvement techniques
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Excellent attention to detail
• Possess good I.T skills
• Possess logical fault finding skills
• Ability to manage multiple workloads simultaneously and well under pressure
