Bedfordshire - Electrical Design Engineer - GBP30k-GBP45k - Electro-Mechanical Equipment
My client are expert providers of electro-mechanical equipment to a specific industry. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. You will work with Mechanical Engineers and select components which are both suitable for the application and satisfy the space envelope of the system. The candidate will be expected to offer support to other departments for fault finding and training purposes.
Main Duties:
+ Design of sophisticated control systems including variable speed drives, PLC and field bus systems
+ Transform a written specification into a complete design
+ Design for manufacture and assembly
+ Liaising with suppliers on bought out components
+ Developing test plans
Experience required:
+ Electrical design experience
+ EPLAN/AutoCAD
+ Any knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives, pneumatics and/or hydraulics would be advantageous
Salary:
The salary for this permanent role is targeted at circa GBP30k-GBP40k, however this may be negotiable depending on relevant experience.
