Machine Operator

Quest Employment Luton is looking for Machine Operative roles on a temporary to permanent basis based in the Stevenage area. To be considered for the Machine Operative role all candidates must be flexible within reason, reliable, and available for an immediate start when successful.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Manage the operation of the Packing Machine

Comply with company SOP's

Perform 'first and last off' sample inspections

Ensure activities conform to Food Safety and Health and Safety requirements

Ensure all products and raw materials are clearly labelled and recorded for traceability purposes

Operative on a clean as you go basis

Complete any relevant paperwork

Working towards daily productivity targets

Requirements / skills:

Good problem-solving

Positive attitude

Machine Experience preferred, previous food-based machines would be advantageous but not essential

Standing or walking for long periods (12-hour shifts)

Lifting, bending, reaching above the head, crouching and/or stretching

Pushing and pulling up to 15kg in weight / Lifting and moving products up to 15kg

Manual dexterity in both hands and wrists

Ability to work as part of a team

Accuracy and attention to detail
