Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Bury
Start date: September - July 2023
Salary: GBP350-GBP400 per week
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Job Specification
We are looking for a qualified teaching assistant for a role within an outstanding (Ofsted) average sized one-form entry Primary School in Bury, Greater Manchester.
You will be responsible for:
Assisting the class teacher with preparing lesson materials and equipment
Provide insight into the progression of the pupils
Helping the pupils remain focused in class
Helping the teacher to manage pupil behaviour
Helping to get the classroom ready for when the pupils arrive and clearing away afterwardsThe successful candidate will be somebody who is:
Able to build strong relationships with pupils
Flexible
Able to communicate effectively
Capable of managing behaviour effectively
A qualified teaching assistant
Experienced at working with children in key stage 1
About the school
It is a proud catholic school in BL9 and is currently rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted. There are currently approximately 200 pupils enrolled at the school.
Governors and the headteacher have created a culture whereby pupils maintain a high level of motivation to learn
Most children who begin their education at the school speak little to no English
Teachers and teaching assistants consistently meet the high expectations set by the senior leadership team
The school is situated close to Manchester Road which provides easy access to Bury New road and then onto Manchester
