The Warehouse Operative, order checker is responsible for ensuring that all deliveries leave our warehouse in pristine condition and customer specifications are adhered to. Assisting in maintain a safe working environment and helping the warehouse to achieve operational goals and targets, ensuring that we maintain accurate stock inventory at all times.
The individuals may be requested to work additional hours and/or weekends during busy periods.
Key responsibilities:
* Checking picked customer orders against their original order
* Ensuring the correct product and qty are picked to requirement
* Ensuring pallet presentation is 100% and nothing is damaged
* Prioritising workload to ensure external couriers / same day orders are ready for collection and to adjust priorities as needed
* Labelling of products with despatch labels once checked
* Raising errors as needed so they can be rectified
* Wrapping pallets / reworking pallets as needed
* Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment
Skills/Attributes:
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy - This is not a box ticking exercise
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Physically fit to be on their feet for the whole shift in a busy environment
* To be calm under pressure and not afraid to ask for assistance where needed
* Good level of English to be able to read and understand the instructions
* Flexible approach
