Our client, a specialist engineering business with a head office in Bournemouth, have created a new position within their supply chain team. As the Logistics Manager you will manage the shipping team and coordinate the operation of both the warehouse and the Third Party Logistics (3PL) warehouse.
The main focus of the role will be to manage the logistics, stores and shipping functions with a view to meeting company objectives and ensuring optimal efficiency. The successful candidate will have proven experience in logistics management and supply chain management evidenced by either certification from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and/or 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
The successful applicant will have excellent problem-solving capabilities and organisational skills, proficiency in logistics/inventory management software and have an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes. The position is offered permanent basis and has an immediate start available. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08:00 am till 17:00 pm & Fri 08:00 am till 13:00 pm
