Eligibility: This post is an exciting opportunity for a confident qualified, HCPC registered Psychologist who has strong clinical and leadership skills. It is an ideal position for someone seeking a promotional Psychologist role (equivalent to an 8b) although applications are welcome from any grade/experience level of qualified psychologist. Applicants must have current HCPC registration.

About the role: Hope House is a dedicated Dialectical Behavioural Therapy service for women. It is one of only a few fully adherent DBT services in the country offering an extensive and highly regarded therapeutic programme through a full pathway of care.

We are seeking a Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist who can take a leading role in all clinical aspects of the Hope House service, leading and guiding the quality agenda for this pathway. The Psychologist should have a good clinical understanding of behavioural principles and trauma therapies and be fully conversant with DBT (preferably with British Isles therapist certification). They will hold senior leadership responsibilities for this service and will line manage Assistant Psychologists.

The postholder will work within a highly skilled and fully DBT trained multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for overseeing the clinical delivery for up to 18 female service users. The Psychologist will deliver some clinical input, supervision, training, reflective practice and oversee quality adherence. They will be working within a wider supportive and friendly Psychology Department within Chadwick Lodge. Assistant Psychologists and Nurse Therapists directly support this role.
