We are recruiting for an SI Analyst for a major logistics provider supporting our armed forces at home and abroad.
The Stock Integrity department is responsible for accurate material accounting of inventory held as custodians on behalf of their customers within the warehouses across all sites. This is achieved by investigating discrepancies relating to issue and receipt activities, conducting physical stock taking of inventory held, including 100% stock location check, investigation of adjustments made to warehouse management systems (WMS) including any stock taking discrepancies and reconciliation activity to ensure alignment of WMS to Inventory management systems (IMS)
The idea candidate will have:
Knowledge of warehouse management systems and their link with Inventory systems
Experience within a customer focused environment
Attention to detail and analytical and numerate/data rational
Strong numeric and analytical skills; Process orientated
Good interpersonal skills; Self-motivation and able to adapt to a changing environment
PC Literate and Microsoft Office (including Excel skills) - competent with manipulation and updating of spreadsheets
MHE licence is an advantage but not essential
Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. Goods receipt, Picking, Dispatch is an advantage but not essential
Duties will include:
Collate data from various sources, for example Warehouse and Inventory Management Systems (WMS & IMS) and manual spreadsheets
Conduct detailed and in-depth investigations into stock discrepancies and customer queries
Communicate with various external customers on a daily basis as part of investigating discrepancies. Analyse and interrogate data and report outputs
Consolidate various data into one report. Extract data reports, review, validate and update the various systems with the relevant information. Analyse and update spreadsheets to create reporting outputs. Maintain IMS and WMS data integrity
Progress transactions in IMS and WMS. Progress and resolve stock and parts queries
Progress and resolve external and internal customer queries
Create various operational reports for external and internal customer, such as volume reports, warehouse dashboard. Produce accurate and detailed written reports to clearly communicate investigations, findings and opportunities for improvement that will be presented to the MOD for approval
Any other tasks requested and specified by the Line Manager
