Are you an experienced HSE Advisor from within a manufacturing / engineering industry?

Our superb client with premises based in Peterborough is seeking an experienced & Qualified HSE Advisor to join them owing to business growth working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

As HSE Advisor you will be responsible for:-

* Ensuring all HSE processes are in place, ensuring compliance and statutory / legislative provisions are met.

* Development of company HSE policies and improvement plans

* Review and incorporate HSE updates to HSE Management System

* Maintaining the HSE Management System for ISO4001 / OHSAS18001 / ISO(phone number removed) certification achievement

* Plan & implement internal audit programme for management system.

* Address non-conformances and take corrective measures

* Conducting inspections & audits at client sites & form relationships with external suppliers to enhance HSE performance

* Ensure any risks are identified and to mitigate those risks effectively across the business.

* Prompt reporting of incidents / accidents etc, effectively promoting organisational learning to prevent any recurrences.

* Providing professional advice and guidance, assistance and support on HSE matters.

* Providing technical training for internal and external stakeholders

* Maintaining training records

* Promote employee HSE engagement to ensure continuous improvement.

* Develop, manage and compile HSE metrics identifying opportunities for improvement.

Skills required

To be considered for the role of HSE Advisor you will:-

* Ideally hold NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or be actively working towards or willing to study if you have relevant skills and experience.

* An in-depth knowledge of HSE legislation requirements and best practice

* Strong background in mechanical machinery manufacturing / engineering health & safety.

* A strong team player with exceptional communication skills

* Excellent problem solving ability and attention to detail.

* Risk assessment and investigations.
