My client is a local authority who are looking for experienced Tutors to work remotely on a 1-2-1 basis with Primary or Secondary age SEMH students, those with a medical condition who cannot attend school or those you have fallen behind on their studies.
We are looking for Tutors who have experience delivering any of the following subjects, Maths, English and Science in line with the National Curriculum, you will plan and deliver according to the students ability.
Preferably you will attend the child's place of study or attend the home but consideration will also be given to those who wish to work on a remote basis, so the ability to use the likes of Skype, Teams, Zoom etc is essential.
Tutoring can last anything from a few hours per week for several weeks to potentially 10 hours per week up to a full academic year therefore you should be prepared to commit to a student on a long term basis. The vast majority of tutoring takes place during normal school hours but occasionally after school hours may be required, so you will need to show some flexibility.
To be considered you should ideally hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognised Teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, GTP, Certificate in Education etc. Post 16 Qualifications are also considered, however what is essential is your most recent experience delivering National Curriculum subjects.
All Tutors who register with Travail Education will have 2 years professional references taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check and be registered on the DBS Update Service, you will be required to attend a face to face registration, subject to social distancing regulations and you must provide details of your employment history any employment breaks must be explained.
