We are recruiting for a Quality Technician to work for a well-established company based in Telford.
3 - Shift working pattern;
6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am
Working hours ;
37.5 hours per week
3 months Full time Temporary Contract only
Pay rate;
GBP14.35-hourly
The role entails but is not limited to: -
Responsible for supporting quality activities leading up to launch and in production
Develop Quality based Standardised Work Instructions and assist ion training and rollout
Support GP12 & Final Inspection product reviews and data analysis
Manage calibration log, and carry out routine audits of in - process gauging
Support and roll out training
Comply with the MSA requirements and QMS Control of NCM.
To be able to operate all quality laboratory and measuring equipment (i.e., Microscope, Tensile Machine, X-ray, Blister Oven)
To be computer literate and able to use MS Office package (Minitab would be an asset)
Other duties as required.
Approx. 90% shop floor activities (audits, 1st offs, inspection, quarantine management, receiving inspection, etc)
Stop processes which are producing non-conforming products
Be the voice of quality on the shop floor - lead by example and help to develop business wide understanding of Quality and its related processes and procedures
Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant
EXPERIENCE:
Essential /Desirable
Experience in automotive related field
Able to work in various locations within and outside the plant -Customer area
APQP & PPAP
MSA, SPC, QMS and NCM
Casting experience
Experience using X-ray machine
Experience in tensile and hardness testing
Experience using spectrometer and microscope
Experience using handheld measuring equipment

Plant conditions necessitate exposure to heat, cold, dust, hot objects, and loud noises within our manufacturing environment. Full Health and Safety training and PPE provided for all conditions.
