This IT Support Engineer role is with Koura, a global leader in the manufacture and supply of fluorine based products that play a fundamental role in enhancing everyday lives. This IT Support Engineer will be based between two sites, one in Runcorn and the other in Ince. They will provide technical aid across a number of sites in order to quickly and effectively resolve customers issues. In addition to this they will be expected to ensure that all local infrastructure meets the day to day needs of the business. This role as IT Support Engineer is on a Fixed-Term Contract.
Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:
Register and Monitor Service Desk calls/tickets and prioritise accordingly.
Deliver first class assistance to customers.
Install, configure and test infrastructure (e.g. PC's, printers, mobile devices, software and related equipment).
Advise customers regarding the best use of workplace facilities and standard software, including Office365 (incl. OneDrive/Sharepoint/Outlook/Skype) and business applications.
Learn and understand business processes and requirements to advise the business and assist with related matters.
Identify, gain approval and implement developments to a number of the business' core applications/infrastructure areas to improve their functionality, performance, resilience or cost effectiveness, often working jointly with key users or external suppliers.To be successful in this position as IT Support Engineer it is essential to have a proven record of working within a corporate customer facing technical environment, in a Service Desk setting with First and Second line skills. It is key that IT Support Engineer has a good degree of logical and conceptual thinking in order to effectively employ a range of techniques to efficiently resolve issues including using remote technology, and to be innovative in technological problem solving. It will be essential for the successful candidate to hold a full UK Driver's license.
