Our client based in Cambridge is recruiting for an Operational Maintenance Technician.
Ideally you will currently be an Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Process Technician or Process Operator with experience of working in a GMP setting.
You will perform a crucial role in investigating and optimising current manufacturing processes along with maintenance and calibration of facilities, operational process equipment in line with GMP, safety, quality, and validation protocols.
Key duties:
-Conduct problem solving and fault finding in a systematic and safe manner.
-Action site calibrations on a multitude of mediums (temperature, pressure, flow).
-Maintain documentation in the calibration management system and ensure that key documents are created, reviewed, and controlled.
-Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks around the site in accordance with site procedures.
-Support development by acting as a mentor to best engineering practices and behaviours.
-Use predictive techniques to minimise maintenance costs and equipment downtime.
-Troubleshoot equipment and facilities failures and effects repairs. - Collaborate within a small team to work on technical transfer, scale up, process design and optimisation and manufacturing projects. Your role will be crucial in contributing towards production targets, promoting new ways of working and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
-City & Guilds/ NVQ certificate and/or demonstrated sustained competence in manufacturing maintenance.
-A team focused mindset supporting the broader maintenance team and organisational goals, taking on overtime when required
-Experience gained in a pharmaceutical or GMP setting. Working and operating in a pilot scale environment would be highly desirable.
-Engineering knowledge gained in industry or by qualification. Mechanical Engineering specifically maintenance or Chemical Engineering are preferred.
-Forklift license
36 contracted hours a week, Mon-Friday 8am - 4 pm or 9am - 5pm
Single site - no travel.

Salary GBP25,000 - GBP30,000
