You'll benefit from a clear career path with plenty of opportunities for progression, support from colleagues and mentors to develop your career, access to specialist training and funded professional qualifications, and a c.27% employer pension contribution. You'll also have access to a wide range of employee networks, including the Women's Inclusive Network, Race & Culture Network, Pride Network, Disability Network - and many more. We recognise that the best people for the job may have commitments outside of work, so we're pleased to promote flexible working to support our colleagues in balancing work and home life.
We are currently seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to provide Commercial leadership within SDA to deliver a complex commercial project. As your career develops, other Senior Commercial Manager roles may be available to support your development - these roles may include looking after a portfolio of projects, for equipment and/or service, supporting peace-keeping and humanitarian aid missions through to defending UK security; these can be in the pre-sourcing, sourcing, contract management, sales and disposal phases.
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating your team and you will work on important programmes that will ensure that people entrusted with the defence of the nation have the tools and equipment to do their best job. You will work collaboratively with other functions in the Project Delivery teams to deliver business requirements. This will be funded and supported by Defence Equipment & Spport (DE&S) and the Submarine Delivery Agebcy (SDA)
* At the appropriate stage of your development you will attend an assessment and development centre
Please note some attendance to the stated site may be required for this position.
