Lightning Protection Testing & Repairs Engineer
Suffolk
Salary GBP30K - GBP40K DOE
JGT Recruitment are delighted to be searching for talented engineers for a leading client. We are keen to speak with NVQ Level 2/3 Lightning Conductor Engineers ideally in the South, but will also consider other locations.
As Lightning Protection Testing and Repairs Engineer, you will carry out lightning protection system inspections, testing, and repairs on a broad variety of buildings.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
• To undertake physical tests and visual inspections against agreed work orders from clients
• Produce reports based on standard checklists for each site and system tested
• Correctly identify any remedial or repair works required using technical knowledge and a deep understanding of British Standards
• To undertake all work in a diligent and professional way, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction at all times.
• Maintain own vehicle and equipment to a high standard, driving carefully and respectfully at all times.
Good to know
You'll be working on ranges for high-rise domestic residential properties to large retail units and industrial structures such as towers and chimneys. Driving is a critical part of the role given the size and location of the customer base.
Who we're looking For
To apply for this role, you'll need to have:
• Strong and proven experience in lightning protection (either testing, repair or installation background)
• NVQ 2 or NVQ3 as a Lightning Conductor Engineer
• Customer-facing experience in a field service environment
• Good planning and organisation skills
• IPAF, SSSTS and PASMA qualifications desirable
• CSCS Card Holder
• Full UK driving license
