Export Assistant

Export Assistant (Hybrid Working) required by a shipping and freight company based in Slough. 3 days company office / 2 days at home. GBP21,500 - GBP22,500pa depending on skills and experience. Hours 6:00am - 2:00pm; Monday - Friday.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the Factory Head Office Team. With previous administrative experience essential and knowledge of the shipping / logistics industry highly desirable, you will be pro-active, with a hands-on approach and attention to detail.
As Export Assistant, you will be responsible issuing export documentation and all administrative tasks linked to factory exports in a busy Logistics department.
Responsibilities:
-Issue export documents to the Netherlands, Ireland and occasionally to other EU markets
-Email Customs agencies and receiving markets
-Answering queries from Customs agencies and receiving markets
-Electronic record keeping and chasing missing documents
-Support the Export Supervisor with administrative tasks linked to factory exports
-Support the rest of the team with documentation and administrative tasks
You:
-Proficient MS Office user
-Proven admin experience and strong administration skills
-Excellent numeracy, communication (written / verbal) and interpersonal skills
-Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
-Able to build strong working relationships
-Tenacious - able to problem solve through to completion
-Time management skills and ability to stick to deadlines
-Able to plan and prioritise workload
Highly Desirable:
-Knowledge of shipping methods and terminology
-Understanding of a logistics business
-Understanding of Customs procedures
-Experience in an Operations Assistant role within a freight forwarding environment
