KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.To work as part of the Domestic Abuse Intervention Service management team alongside colleagues in Housing Services and Benefits and Housing Needs as well as with the Greater London Authority to scope the impact of and prepare the Council for the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, particularly regarding duties relating to homelessness.

2.To be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of consistent and efficient administration systems across the Domestic Abuse Intervention Service and wider Hackney Violence Against Women and Girls Partnership in relation to domestic abuse, Hackney's Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy and in particular the requirements of the Domestic Abuse Act, ensuring that procedures and good practice are understood and shared across organisations. This will include the implementation of a comprehensive quality assurance process to ensure standards are met relating to the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.

3. To frequently review administration systems across the Domestic Abuse Intervention Service and wider Hackney Violence Against Women and Girls Partnership, identifying key areas for remedial action and to ensure improvements meet with general good practice, central government guidance, Council directives and will enhance our ability to measure our progress towards and meet performance targets.

4. To work with Hackney's VAWG Strategic Lead on the implementation of Hackney's developing (Apply online only) VAWG Strategy, ensuring that it is compliant with national and Greater London Authority requirements, is reviewed in partnership with Hackney VAWG agencies, statutory partners and members of the public and is publicised and accessible to a variety of audiences via campaigns and awareness raising activity.

5.To be responsible for business support staff within the Domestic Abuse Intervention Service, ensuring that good support, supervision and development is available to all staff, thus ensuring the staff group is able to support operational services to a high level both efficiently and professionally. To be responsible for HR matters arising from the management of staff including matrix management responsibilities to support sickness monitoring, capability, disciplinary and grievance procedures.

6.In consultation with your manager and others within Early Help and Prevention proactively participate in cover arrangements for example, annual leave, vacancies, sickness etc where the needs of the service require resources to be deployed temporarily.

7. To prepare reports and briefing papers on a wide range of performance issues for submission to a range of management meetings regarding the Domestic Abuse Act and wider VAWG issues. To manage items for inclusion on agendas, arranging for action points to be followed up and reported back, and to organise and assist the work including the facilitation of meeting arrangements, agendas, work programme and minutes.

8.To take a key role on customer care initiatives across the allocated service area identifying areas for improvement where appropriate and ensuring the effective implementation of change(s).

9. To produce high quality management information in a variety of formats and audiences, which are appropriately presented, accurate, timely and useful.

10.To ensure the environment conforms to all health and safety guidelines, regulations and standards. Ensuring regular liaison with Facilities Management Team in respect of health and safety hazards for staff and service users and by ensuring staff and service users have access to an appropriate level of utilities and equipment in accordance with their diverse needs.
