Salary: C. GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 pa (Negotiable on experience)
Hours: Daytime, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hpw (flexi-time)

SourceCo Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an ambitious, fast-growing, international manufacturer of scientific apparatus in their search for an innovative Systems Engineer to join a dynamic and cross-disciplined Research and Development team at their base in Worcestershire.

Role
Responsibilities of a Systems Engineer:
Electronics design, testing and problem-solving
System-level architecture, design and integration of scientific and industrial instrumentation
Delivering complex, customer-focused products and services to a wide variety of markets
Developing products and solutions within the physical characterisation portfolio
Incremental improvements and optimisations for the next generation of analytical instruments
Candidate
Requirements of a Systems Engineer:
Experience in new product development of high-technology equipment (such as real-time optical sensing devices, LIDAR, image analysis systems, etc.)
Ability to understand the capabilities of a system and design the architecture required
Understanding customer requirements and managing the translation into comprehensive technical requirement specifications
Create integration, verification and validation plans and execute tests in close collaboration with involved disciplines
Ability to create (sub-)system design and interface specifications and able to work cross-functionally to ensure successful implementation
Experience working alongside 3rd party development partners / design houses and managing projects in a technical capacity
Driven to achieve results through collaboration
Preferred experience/qualifications from a Systems Engineer:
A relevant degree in a STEM subject
3 - 5 years of experience within a relevant industry (e.g. metrology, automotive, aerospace, defence, etc.
Use of requirements management tools, for example IBM DOORS
Safety standards and product compliance knowledge
