Specialty Training Administrator

London - Hybrid working - Remote/Office

£28,000 - £29,700 per annum

The primary focus of this role is to support the College’s work in reviewing and assessing applications for Certificates of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR). This involves managing the flow of applications, allocating them to assessors, coordinating monthly committee meetings, and writing and submitting reports. You will develop expert knowledge in this area and will use this to respond to queries from potential applicants and manage changes to processes and procedures, as required.

You will also provide support and guidance to anaesthetists throughout their training programme, as well as administering the online system for maintaining anaesthetic training records. You’ll respond to enquiries and process requests and applications, ensuring that the applicants and trainers are kept up to date on all outcomes. Organised and meticulous in your approach, you will maintain all training records and produce letters and reports for committees and meetings as well as maintaining guidance and policy documents.  You will be a confident communicator, liaising with regulatory and third-party bodies, as well as developing good working relationships with internal stakeholders.

With a good level of education (GCSE or equivalent), you are customer-focused with experience in a similar administrative role. You will have great attention to detail, always ensure accuracy and demonstrate a background of providing secretarial support to formal committees. Confident and approachable, you will be IT literate with a good understanding of MS packages, specifically Excel and Word, and will ensure that the necessary information is recorded accurately onto our system. You will be able to juggle a variety of tasks simultaneously and adapt to any sudden changes in the priorities, organising your own workload and working to regulated policies and procedures.

At RCoA diversity, equality and inclusion is an integral part of our culture so it is important to us that this is reflected in everything that we do. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications, we are unable to provide detailed feedback to candidates on their application. Only short-listed applicants will be contacted after the closing date.

Closing date for applications: Sunday, 3 July 2022
