Test and Inspection Engineer
Location - Barnstaple
Hours Days - Monday - Friday
Salary - Negotiable depending on experience + Benefits
Acorn is currently recruiting for a well established business specialising in manufacture of electromagnetic components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for safety critical applications in aerospace and defence, industrial and transportation industries.
In this new position involving test and or Inspection and recording manufactured or repaired product to internal or external test specifications to a high degree of accuracy with the aid of ATE, or long hand test equipment.
The main daily responsibilities in this role are:
* Test or Inspect product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints
* Complete Test or Inspection tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
* The role requires a zero tolerance to defects.
* Proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement.
Suitable candidates for this role will require:
* Proven track record of Safety and working as a willing, competent member of a team.
* Willingness to undertake annual Eye Examination & colour blindness checks.
* Flexible in approach, with willingness to learn new skills.
* Undertake learning programmes such as IPC 610/620 ISO quality controls as necessary.
* Close attention to detail, in terms of adhering accurately to internal specifications/test programmes and or customer specifications/drawings test specs.
