About the role: Milestone Academy are seeking a motivated and hardworking IT Technician to join their vibrant team from June 2022. The successful candidate will support and maintain all IT hardware and services across the academy site in which the appointed candidate will be based and assist with any IT issues on a day-to-day basis. Our ideal candidate will be able to communicate with non-technical staff members and students in a polite and concise manner, with the ability to prioritise work in line with SLA's.

Our successful candidate will ideally have personal or professional experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Working within a SEN environment is challenging but rewarding, therefore experience in this remit would be desirable, as well as experience in delivering IT support. Our appointed candidate will be helping our students get the most out of IT learning by using the wide range of facilities available in this SEN environment with confidence. We have big plans to improve the digital curriculum even further at Milestone, and our IT Technician will be vital to this success. Excellent organisation and communication skills are required, along with being a versatile team player and a dedicated individual.

This is a full time position (37 hours per week) offering a salary of GBP21,775 per annum + 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.

Please be aware that the successful candidate must have a valid UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle, as this position will involve travelling between local sites to cover short periods of absence/holiday and project work.

Our successful candidate will;

* Be part of a Trust-wide team of approx. 30 IT Technicians with a wealth of experience between them, so you'll be part of a close-knit and supportive group of colleagues

* Receive a starting salary of GBP21,755 but also be eligible for annual pay progression based on success in your role

* Receive 25 days annual leave per annum (plus bank holidays) which increases to 30 days when you've been employed for 5 years
