It Technician
Our Manufacturing client based in Peterborough are looking to recruit an IT Technician on a minimum 3 month contract to help the company with a transition from Microsoft 2021 AX Dynamics to Business Central whilst maintaining the day to day IT issues. Working as part of a small team onsite with external IT providers this role will be very much hands on.
Job Role:-
* Performing day to day maintenance checks and tasks to keep the IT systems running. Responding, prioritising, and maintaining help desk issues.
* Create new windows domain user profiles and email accounts.
* Installing software as required to desktops, laptops, and servers.
* Ensuring backups are completed as required and that issues are resolved.
* Keeping documentation up to date.
* Setting up printers/copiers and providing support for printing.
* Ensuring that infrastructure issues are resolved and all resolutions are documented.
* Maintaining IT stock.
* Assisting with office moves.
* Managing new user accounts' computer and software requirements.
* Setting up telephone handsets for new starters and current staff.
* Installation and patching of network cables\switches\routers.
* Keeping all Microsoft operating systems updated with the latest security patches.
* Maintain Exchange 2016/Exchange 365.
* Plus any other duties.
Above are day to day IT aspects but you will also be looking at New report writing, help the business transition and there will be lots of teething issues. Knowledge of Cyber security, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune and MFA.
Any experience of Business Central, writing Jet reports and creating RDLC document templates would be highly desirable.
